Watch out for Ticks

‘Watch out Ticks about’

We aren’t discussing the tick symbol ✅ !

Ticks are small creatures that look a little like 🕷️ spiders and they feed on the blood of both pets and humans. There are over twenty different species of tick in the UK but the most commonly seen is the ‘sheep tick’. Once they have attached, to a human or animal they suck blood and if they are carrying any disease they can pass it on in this way.

Tick season in the UK is usually March – September but this is varied due to climate change.  They are most commonly found in areas with longer grass. Woodlands are a favourite place, but you can see them almost anywhere.

Our Wellness Plan which we offer registered clients, includes year round protection against flea & ticks and worms! 🪱 Thats definitely a tick of the symbol variety ✅
