Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme

We are extremely proud 👏 to be an approved member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme.
What is RCVS Accreditation?
Simply put, just as Ofsted assures the community about the quality of schools, so the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme is your assurance about the quality of your veterinary practice.
The Practice Standards Scheme is a voluntary initiative to accredit veterinary practices in the UK. Through setting standards and carrying out regular assessments, the Scheme aims to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care.
All of our practices have been accredited by the RCVS, with our Gosforth Hospital being awarded Hospital status. This means that we undergo rigorous inspections every and uphold a minimum of standards including hygiene, staff training, equipment and patient care. This ensures high standards of care for pets and peace of mind for pet owners.
The practice strongly encourages continuing professional development, with ongoing staff appraisals and training for all members of the practice. Providing good customer and patient care is of the utmost importance to everyone at the practice.
Well done 👏 to our team of dedicated veterinary surgeons, nurses & support staff 🐾
